This piece was created by combining a few of the things I love most; chemistry, photography, and botany. With Cyanotype as my medium, a 35mm film photo of a beach in some distant place that I took myself was altered slightly to emphasize the sky and give it the illusion of texture. This was done to convey the ethereal feeling of a fleeting moment.
My name is Sati. I’m a naturalist and antiquarian living on Oahu. I enjoy playing with light, the shadows that obscure it, and each of its disguises. I am someone and some thing new daily.
