Lei Day

"Growing up near the airport, I was often at the lei stands there with my parents, perusing the many different colors and flowers that the incredible lei makers put together. It’s truly an art to make lei and I continue to be in awe of lei makers. This imagery along with the scent of flowers like pikake, pakalana, and puakenikeni, is something that will always make me feel like “home.” I wanted to put together this imagery like lei would be draped at a lei stands- something hopefully people look at and have that same sense of feeling “home”."
